I really don’t understand that with Henry on his death bed; people are still talking about Emma kidnapping Henry. Besides the fact that it’s old news and Emma had to bring him back anyway. Felony murder trumps kidnapping any day!
Reasons Evil Queen is not a good mother …
1.) She never knows where her kid is!
When she goes to check on Henry when he’s being kidnapped, she doesn’t realize anything is wrong. She’s being outsmarted by an 11 year old with the oldest trick in the book. Plus, she sees what she thinks is him reading under the covers past his bedtime. She should have told him to cut that light off and go to sleep. Then she would have realized that he was gone when he didn’t answer.
And even before this, she went around town asking other people where her kids is. She also had a reporter follow him around to figure out where he goes. I mean come on!
Plus, while she was out burying hearts in the woods, who was watching Henry. Or when she told Henry she had council meeting when she was really meeting Graham, I didn’t see a babysitter. She left Henry alone. She always left Henry alone. Her lack of watching Henry let him go to the mines and almost die. Social services should’ve been called on that one. That time Regina was the one that didn’t do anything to save him. And she snubbed Emma when she saved him. Whatev!
2.) Emotional and Psychological Abuse!
She brings him to this town where he is the only one who is aging. And, calls him crazy for noticing it.
Henry: “But Mom, why has Ashley been pregnant for 11 years.”
EQ: “It’s only been 9 months. You’re crazy, Kid. Time for you to see Dr. Hopper.”
Henry: “But Mom, why every year I move up another grade and my whole old class stays behind.”
EQ: “They’re just all dumb and your really smart.”
Henry: “But why is everyone I had Kindergarten with still no older than 6 years old. That was 5 years ago.
EQ: “They all have growth hormone conditions, except for you. Maybe Dr. Hopper can give you a pill to calm you down.”
Couldn’t everyone see how happy Henry was when he saw Pinocchio’s wooden arm and finally saw proof he isn’t crazy. When people treat you crazy your whole life, it creates a complex you never really get over. Regina, you witch!
3.) Finally, Killing Your Kid!
You would think that Regina could use this one time to make sure Henry is safe and out of harms way. She knows she just gave a poisoned pastry to the person her son sees everyday. Couldn’t she make sure he wasn’t around to accidentally be poisoned himself.
Even if you don’t feel Regina is morally responsible for her son being poisoned, which she is. She is definitely legally responsible. It’s called Felony Murder. When you commit a felony like attempted murder and someone unintended dies, then you are criminally liable as if you meant to kill the actual victim. So, Regina is criminally responsible for her son being on his death bed and most likely dying, or seeming dead because of the sleeping curse.
Therefore all you Emma haters and those defending Evil Queen as a mother are saying: it’s ok to emotionally and
psychologically abuse your kid, try to poison his birth mother who he loves, and even kill your kid or at least send him to the hospital on his death bed. Just don’t put your kid up for adoption and try to be in his life when he shows up at your door unhappy and asking for your help.
Remember the story about King Solomon and the two mothers claiming the same child. The real mother was the one willing to let the other mother have the child to keep the child from being cut in two. The other mother was willing to have the child cut in two just so no one else would have him.
Likewise, Emma was going to leave town without Henry just to stop the fighting so Henry wouldn’t get hurt. But, Regina practically tore Henry in two rather than have to share him with Emma. I think King Solomon would agree Emma is the real mother.
That said I don’t think either mother is good for Henry right now. I admit Emma has some issues and has really dropped the ball these last two episodes.
So, Grandmama Mary Margaret should have custody of Henry. She’s a school teacher so she’s good with children. She’s stable so she wouldn’t run off. And, she would know where he is, be home to see about him, and make sure he goes to school and stays there.
